Independent game & AI software studio
We build strategy games with AI in the workshop.
Our first game is Emberward, a tactical card roguelite where you draft a deck, place your units on a grid and watch them fight.
Our first title · In development
Emberward
A roguelite deckbuilder crossed with an auto-battler. The city has drowned and only the lamps still burn. Lead a band of wax knights, bell-forged golems and things from the deep through a run of fights, and keep the last flame alive.
Draft
Reach into the Drift
After each fight a line of cards drifts past. The front two are free. Anything further back costs embers, the same currency you spend in battle.
Fight
Hold a 4×3 grid
Your whole deck is face up. Place units, cast spells and let combat play out in waves. Position matters: neighbours sharing a trait grow stronger, and attacks follow lanes.
Grow
Rekindle three into one
Collect three copies of a card and they merge into its next level, which also thins your deck.
Spark → Flame → Fire
Sample cards with in-game 32×32 pixel art. Select a card to see its Spark, Flame and Fire forms.

The studio
A small studio with AI built into every step
Greystone Interactive is a new independent studio making games and the AI software we use to build them. We use Claude across our process: game design, rules writing, card and encounter content, pixel art pipelines and code.
Emberward runs on a deterministic rules engine kept apart from its interface. That lets AI agents play thousands of runs, find broken combinations and help us balance the game before players ever see it.
